Here are a few things that we think are important about us or just useful to know. If you have any questions about these things or anything else, feel free to contact us.
servant evangelism
Our primary means of spreading the good news of Jesus is with our actions. We believe that we need to earn the right to be heard. We do this by serving our community in big and small ways. Find out more about how the church serves the Reno.
ministry, not mortgages
We have no plans to buy a building. The thought of that money tied up instead of being used to change lives didn’t make a lot of sense to us. Church isn’t the building where people meet to worship God. The worshipers of God are the Church.
order of service
We do most of our worship after the sermon because throughout the Bible worship is the result of hearing what God has said or done.
family service
Children second grade and older join us in the worship service the last Sunday of each month. By including the next generation, we let them know the worship service is for them too, not just grown-ups.
all worship service
Every six weeks or so we devote an entire service to worship. Since we were created for worship, we believe it is important to teach about it and put it into practice.
communion
The Communion elements are made available every week. Anytime during the service all Christ-followers are invited to commemorate Jesus’ death and resurrection. At least once a month the congregation celebrates Communion all together.
