We gave free Hotdogs, hamburgers, and water to anyone that walked within a 50ft perimeter of our Tailgate Party spot. “The early one gets the worm” was the saying at 7:30am for the brave souls that staked our spot for our First Annual UNR Tailgate Bash against down state rivals, UNLV. We not only got a cool spot but were also greeted with the first snowfall in the Reno valley that morning. It soon warmed up for sweatshirts to come off and fans with T-shirts of “FUNLV” to be spotted all over the UNR campus. We were told it stood for “Fun Love” but also we know there was reason why a church was there giving out free water in the name of “God’s Love.”
